Ituba's vision conveys three key factors: to look good, feel good and do good. We have only succeeded as a brand if you feel these as a customer.

Look good
In selling affordable high-quality products, Ituba aims to make every person look good.

Feel good
Feeling good is an important part of who we are. Our current collection is cashmere as there is nothing more luxurious than soft cashmere against the skin.

Do good
Doing good is the most important factor of our vision and this is why we donate back to the community for each product bought.

Production

The name cashmere comes from an old spelling of Kashmir the region where its production and trade originated, possibly as early as the Mongolian empire in the 13th century.

Cashmere comes from the soft undercoat of goats bred to produce the wool in Nepal. Cashmere is commonly referred to as wool but it is in fact hair from the goats..

The hair is harvest in a sustainable and socially responsible manner and all shawls are hand woven on wooden looms.

Care

As cashmere is a natural product the more it is worn the more beautiful it becomes with age.

Washing
  • Care is required when washing cashmere
  • Dry-cleaning is optional.
  •  In hand washing use lukewarm water and a baby shampoo or mild detergent.
  • Press out the excess water but do not wring the garment.
  • Place in flat on a towel and shape as it is drying.
  • Do not hang garments when drying; the weight of the water will stretch the garments out of shape.
  • Finally, treat the garments with love, and they will do the same to you.

Storage
  • Pilling refers to the tiny balls that accumulate on cashmere items after a while. It occurs naturally when the microfibres break, normally caused by the material rubbing against things, but also during washing.
  • Excess pilling can be unsightly, and make cashmere items look old and worn. A lint shaver, or good fabric comb will effortlessly remove the unsightly balls and return the cashmere to its former glory.
  • Store your cashmere in a dry and airy environment

Love
  • If you treat your cashmere well it will do the same for you!
